हल्द्वानी । दीवाली पर बाजार में उचक्कों व ठगों की सक्रियता बढ़ गई है। महिलाओं को टारगेट कर रहे ठग व उचक्के गले से सोने की चेन व हाथ से पर्स लेकर फरार हो जा रहे हैं। बिड़ला स्कूल रोड स्थित सद्भावना इनक्लेव निवासी दीपा भट्ट शनिवार को अपने बच्चों को ट्यूशन से लेने जा रही थी। रास्ते में उसे दो युवकों ने सम्मोहित कर दिया और गले में पहना आधा तोला सोने का मंगलसूत्र, पर्स व मोबाइल लेकर फरार हो गए। होश आने पर महिला ने शोर मचाया और आसपास के लोगों को घटना की जानकारी दी। कोतवाल अरुण कुमार सैनी ने बताया कि घटनास्थल के पास लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों से ठगों की पहचान की जा रही है। एसपी सिटी जगदीश चंद्र ने कहा कि त्योहार को लेकर बाजार में सुरक्षा बढ़ाई गई है। भीड़भाड़ वाली जगहों पर महिलाओं से ठगी व झपटमारी की घटनाएं हो सकती हैं। महिलाओं को सावधान रहने की आवश्यकता है।
