-विधायक त्रिलोक सिंह चीमा ने लिखा केन्द्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री को पत्र
काशीपुर। विधायक त्रिलोक सिंह चीमा ने भारतीय प्रबंध संस्थान ;आईआईएमद्ध काशीपुर में छात्रावास एवं संस्थान के मुख्य मार्ग का निर्माण कराये जाने हेतु केन्द्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री को पत्र भेजा है।
श्री चीमा ने केन्द्रीय शिक्षा मंत्री को अवगत कराया है कि काशीपुर में 11 वर्ष पूर्व आईआईएम की स्थापना हुई थी। संस्थान में वर्तमान में 250 कर्मचारी कार्यरत हैं एवं देश के विभिन्न प्रांतों के लगभग 700 छात्र उच्च शिक्षा ग्रहण कर रहे हैं लेकिन संस्थान में पर्याप्त मात्रा में छात्रावास की सुविधा न होना एवं रामनगर रोड पर केलामोड़ से कुण्डेश्वरी चौक तक संस्थान का 7 किमी लम्बा मुख्य मार्ग अत्यधिक क्षतिग्रस्त होने से आये दिन दुर्घटनाएं हो रही हैं। छात्रावास की सुविधा न होने से यहां कार्यरत स्टाफ एवं छात्र संस्थान से बाहर किराये के मकानों में निवास कर रहे हैं एवं अपने दोपहिया वाहनों से आवागमन कर रहे हैं, लेकिन संस्थान का मुख्य मार्ग काफी क्षतिग्रस्त होने से छात्र हादसों का शिकार हो रहे हैं। उन्होंने अवगत कराया कि बीती 18 अक्टूबर को इसी मार्ग पर संस्थान में अध्ययनरत बिहार निवासी पीएचडी का छात्र रंजन कुमार की अपने दोपहिया वाहन से जाते समय डम्पर से कुचलकर दुखद मृत्यु हो गयी थी। श्री चीमा ने केन्द्रीय मंत्री से संस्थान में छात्रावास व कुण्डेश्वरी चौक से रामनगर रोड पर केलामोड़ तक सड़क का शीघ्र निर्माण कराये जाने की मांग करने के साथ ही इस क्षेत्र को हवाई सेवा से जोड़ने की मांग की है।
