मोतिहारी । बिहार के पूर्वी चंपारण जिला के छतौनी बस अड्डे से पुलिस ने 18 किलोग्राम चरस के साथ तीन तस्करों को गिरफ्तार किया है। गिरफ्तार तस्करों में एक महिला भी है।
पूर्वी चंपारण के पुलिस अधीक्षक डॉ कुमार आशीष ने बताया कि पुलिस को गुप्त सूचना मिली थी कि नेपाल से मादक पदार्थों की एक बड़ी खेप मोतिहारी आ रही है। इसी सूचना के आधार पर सदर डीएसपी के नेतृत्व में छतौनी थाना क्षेत्र के बस स्टैंड की निगरानी रखी जा रही थी।
इसी दौरान दो युवक और एक महिला की गतिविधि संदिग्ध दिखाई दी। पुलिस ने तत्काल तीनों को पकड़ लिया और उनके बैगों की तलाशी ली गई। तलाशी के क्रम में बैग से 18 किलोग्राम चरस बरामद किया गया, जो छोटे-छोटे पैकेट में रखे गए थे।
उन्होंने बताया कि तस्करों ने पूछताछ में स्वीकार किया कि मादक पदार्थों की यह खेप नेपाल से लाई जा रही थी जिसे दिल्ली ले जाना था। मादक पदार्थों की कीमत अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बाजार में चार करोड़ रुपए आंकी जा रही है।
उन्होंने कहा कि पुलिस तस्करों की नेपाल और दिल्ली से लिंक तलाश रही है। उन्होंने कहा तस्करों से पूछताछ की जा रही है तथा पुलिस पूरे मामले की जांच की जा रही है
