हरिद्वार। सीडीएस जनरल बिपिन रावत और उनकी पत्नी मधुलिका रावत की अस्थियां आज वीआइपी घाट पर विधि-विधान और पूरे सैन्य सम्मान के साथ उनके तीर्थ पुरोहित आदित्य वशिष्ठ ने विसर्जित करवाई। जनरल रावत की दोनों बेटियों कृतिका और तारिणी ने नम आंखों के साथ माता-पिता की अस्थियां विसर्जित कर उन्हें अंतिम विदाई दी। इस दौरान वहां पर बड़ी संख्या में मौजूद लोग भी उन्हें श्रद्धांजलि देने के लिए घाट पर पहुंचे थे। पर, उन्हें बाहर ही रोक दिया गया है। मीडिया कर्मियों के लिए भी बाहर से ही कवरेज की व्यवस्था की गई। अंदर केवल जनरल बिपिन रावत के स्वजन और सेना के अधिकारी ही गए।
सीडीएस को अंतिम विदाई देने पहुंचे केंद्रीय रक्षा राज्य मंत्री अजय भट्ट ने शोक संवेदना व्यक्त करते कहा कि अभी हाल ही नौ नवंबर को राज्य स्थापना दिवस पर उनसे मुलाकात हुई थी। उत्तराखंड और देश की सुरक्षा आदि मसलों को लेकर उनसे काफी चर्चा हुई थी। उत्तराखंड से उनका विशेष लगाव था। हाल ही उन्हें रायवाला रेलवे रेलवे स्टेशन के पास आयोजित एक कार्यक्रम में शामिल होना था, जिसकी तैयारियां चल रही थी। अगर आज वह हमारे बीच होते तो वह भी इस कार्यक्रम का हिस्सा बनते।
इस दौरान विधानसभा अध्यक्ष प्रेमचंद अग्रवाल, भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष मदन कौशिक , कैबिनेट मंत्री स्वामी यतीश्वरानंद, धन सिंह रावत, गणेश जोशी, विधायक संजय गुप्ता, हरिद्वार मेयर अनिता शर्मा, ऋषिकेश मेयर अनीता ममगई, जिलाधिकारी विनय शंकर पांडे, अपर जिलाधिकारी वीर सिंह बुदियाल, सिटी मजिस्ट्रेट अवधेश कुमार सिंह समेत कई सैन्य अधिकारी मौजूद रहे।
