नई दिल्ली। इस्पात मंत्रालय के तहत कार्यरत एक सीपीएसई और देश के सबसे बड़े लौह अयस्क उत्पादक राष्ट्रीय खनिज विकास निगम लिमिटेड (एनएमडीसी) ने मध्य प्रदेश राज्य में स्थित अपनी पन्ना हीरा खदानों से निकाले गए अपरिष्कृत हीरों की बिक्री के लिए ई-नीलामी आयोजित की। इस ई-नीलामी के दौरान सूरत, मुंबई और पन्ना के हीरा व्यापारियों से जबरदस्त प्रतिक्रिया मिली है। दिसंबर 2020 से पहले निकाले गए लगभग 8337 कैरेट के अपरिष्कृत हीरे नीलामी के लिए पेश किए गए थे और इनके लिए लगभग 100त्न मात्रा में सफल बोलियां प्राप्त हुई थीं। मझगवां-पन्ना में एनएमडीसी की हीरा खनन परियोजना देश की एकमात्र यंत्रीकृत हीरे की खान है। यह खनन परियोजना स्थल अयस्क प्रसंस्करण संयंत्र की सुविधाओं से सुसज्जित है, जिसमें हेवी मीडिया सेपरेशन यूनिट, हीरों के पृथक्करण के लिए एक्स-रे सॉर्टर और उत्पन्न अवशेष के लिए निपटान प्रणाली भी शामिल है। एनएमडीसी के अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक सुमित देब ने कहा कि एनएमडीसी छह दशकों से अधिक समय से खनन के क्षेत्र में सक्रिय है। उन्होंने कहा कि अत्याधुनिक प्रौद्योगिकी और अद्वितीय अनुभव के साथ यह कंपनी एक ऐसी इकाई बन गई है, जो देश के लिए बढ़ी हुई उत्पादन क्षमता के साथ खानों के आसपास के लोगों की पर्यावरण सुरक्षा और संरक्षण को संतुलित करती है। हमें हाल ही में सूरत में आयोजित हीरे की नीलामी में जबरदस्त प्रतिक्रिया मिली, जहां लगभग 100त्न मात्रा में हीरा व्यापारियों से निविदाएं प्राप्त हुईं। मध्य प्रदेश के पन्ना में एनएमडीसी की अपनी हीरे की खदान है, जो भारत का एकमात्र ऐसा राज्य है, जहां पर हमारे देश के कुल हीरा संसाधन की 90त्न हिस्सेदारी है। 84,000 कैरेट प्रति वर्ष की उत्पादन क्षमता के साथ राज्य में एनएमडीसी की उपस्थिति देश की बढ़ती अर्थव्यवस्था के प्रति उसकी प्रतिबद्धता को दर्शाती है।
