काशीपुर। रामनगर रोड स्थित रामलीला प्रेक्षागृह में धर्मयात्रा महासंघ के तत्वावधान में स्वातंत्रवीर विनायक दामोदर सावरकर की जयंती धूमधाम से मनाई गयी। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता एग्रोन रेमेडीज के महाप्रबन्ध निदेशक गोपालकृकृष्ण अग्रवाल ने की तथा केजीसीआई के पूर्व अध्यक्ष विजय कुमार जिन्दल मुख्य अतिथि रहे।
इस दौरान अखिल भारतीय हिन्दू महासभा के राष्ट्रीय उपाध्यक्ष सतीश चन्द्र मदान ने वीर सावरकर के जीवन, उनको ब्रिटिश सरकार द्वारा दी गई यातनाओं तथा भारत की स्वतंत्रता आन्दोलन में उनके महान सहयोग पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डाला। नोएडा से आये डॉ. राकेश कुमार आर्य ने बताया कि सावरकर जी गीता के कर्मयोग में विश्वास रखते थे। गीता उनके रोम-रोम में रच-बस गयी थी। अधिवक्त्ता विपिन कुमार अग्रवाल ने वीर सावरकर जी के जीवन से जुडे़ अनुकरणीय प्रसंगों पर प्रकाश डाला। कार्यक्रम में  महापौर ऊषा चौधरी, पूर्व विधायक हरभजन सिंह चीमा, डॉ. अशोक कुमार सिरोही, अखिल पाठक, वीेके गुप्ता, महिपाल सिंह, इन्जी. दुलार सिंह, जीके अग्रवाल, डीपी सिंह चौहान, गोपाल कृष्ण अग्रवाल, जयप्रकाश सिंह योगाचार्य, केशव चन्द्र अग्रवाल, राकेश कुमार राय, पुलकित राय, राजेन्द्र प्रसाद राय, प्रभाकर सारस्वत, डीके सक्सेना एड., कृष्ण कुमार अग्रवाल एडवोकेट सहित बड़ी संख्या में लोग मौजूद थे। संचालन शरत चन्द्र एडवोकेट ने किया।
