काशीपुर। सिक्खों के दसवें गुरू श्री गुरू गोविन्द सिंह जी के प्रकाश पर्व पर शहर भर में आज विशाल नगर कीर्तन निकाला गया, जिसमें फूलों से सजी पालकी आकर्षण का मुख्य केन्द्र रही। भाजपा मेयर प्रत्याशी दीपक बाली और कांग्रेस मेयर प्रत्याशी संदीप सहगल समेत निकाय चुनाव लड़ रहे विभिन्न वार्डों के पार्षद प्रत्याशियों ने श्री गुरू ग्रंथ साहिब की पावन पालकी के दर्शन कर जीत का आशीर्वाद मांगा।
मौहल्ला पक्काकोट स्थित गुरूद्वारा श्री ननकाना साहिब से बाबा सुरेन्द्र सिंह दिल्ली वालों की अगुवाई में विशाल एवं भव्य नगर कीर्तन निकाला गया, जिसमें सबसे आगे युवा निशान साहिब को लेकर चल रहे थे। उनके पीछे तमाम संगत गुरवाणी का उद्घोष करती चल रही थी। काली मंदिर रोड से गंगे बाबा मंदिर चौक, किला तिराहा, मुख्य बाजार, एमपी चौक, चीमा चौराहा से होते हुए नगर कीर्तन पुनः गुरूद्वारा श्री ननकाना साहिब पहुंचा। काशीपुर ट्रक यूनियन, गुरूद्वारा श्री गुरू सिंह सभा, उत्तरांचल पंजाबी महासभा समेत क्षेत्र की अन्य कई संस्थाओं ने रास्ते में विभिन्न स्थानों पर नगर कीर्तन का जोरदार स्वागत किया। एमपी चौक पर सरोपा भेंट कर प्रबु(जनों का स्वागत किया गया। नगर कीर्तन में विधायक त्रिलोक सिंह चीमा, दिलप्रीत सिंह सेठी, गुरविंदर सिंह चण्डोक, श्रीमती सुरुचि सक्सेना, भूपेन्द्र सिंह सेठी, चरनजीत सिंह आनन्द, जगजीत सिंह आनंद, सतपाल सिंह आनंद, मनीष खरबंदा, अमरीक सिंह सेठी, जसपाल सिंह चड्डा, गुरविंदर सिंह सेठी, गुरविंदर सिंह कोहली, गुरनाम सिंह गामा, पूर्व ब्लॉक प्रमुख गुरमुख सिंह, अर्पित मेहरोत्रा, जगमोहन सिंह बंटी, सतपाल सिंह जत्थेदार, राजू सेठी सहित बड़ी संख्या में श्र(ालुगण शामिल रहे। सुरक्षात्मक दृष्टि से पुलिस प्रशासन पूरी तरह मुस्तैद नजर आ रहा था।
