काशीपुर। इसे क्षेत्रीय जनप्रतिनिधियों की अनदेखी ही कहा जायेगा कि काशीपुर का रोडवेज बस अड्डा अन्यत्र शिफ्ट नहीं हो सका है। पूर्व में सरबरखेड़ा क्षेत्र और अब कचनाल गोसाई क्षेत्र मंे नया रोडवेज बस अड्डा बनाने की बात चल रही है, लेकिन शहर के लोग ऐसा नहीं चाहते। लोगांे का कहना है कि क्षेत्रीय जनप्रतिनिधियों, खासकर विधायक को इस बात पर विशेष ध्यान देना चाहिए कि बस अड्डा शहर के बीच हो ताकि वहां से हर जगह जाने के लिए रोडवेज बस आसानी से उपलब्ध हो सके।
काशीपुर में तमाम जगह लोगों से बातचीत के दौरान जो सुझाव आये उनमें से अधिकांश का मत टांडा तिराहा के समीप सिंचाई विभाग के कम्पाउंड के स्थान पर नये रोडवेज बस अड्डे का निर्माण कराना रहा। लोगों का कहना था कि सुनने में आ रहा है कि नया रोडवेज बस अड्डा कचनाल गोसाई क्षेत्र में सूत मिल के निकट शिफ्ट किया जायेगा, उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसा करना गलत होगा, वहां बस अड्डा बनाना किसी काम का नहीं रहेगा। उल्लेखनीय है कि जब से आरओबी का निर्माण शुरू हुआ था तब से आज तक यात्री रोडवेज बस पकड़ने के लिए जगह-जगह धक्के खा रहे हैं और बार-बार समाचार पत्रों के माध्यम से गुहार लगाने के बावजूद आज तक कोई समाधान नहीं हो सका है। लोगों का कहना है कि रामनगर से दिल्ली जाने वाली बसें गुरूद्वारा बाईपास से निकल जाती हैं और यात्री टांडा तिराहा या डिजाइन सेंटर पर घंटों तक खड़े होकर इंतजार ही करते रहते हैं। स्थानीय रोडवेज बस स्टैण्ड की बिल्डिंग पूरी तरह जर्जर हो चुकी है और आरओबी बन जाने के कारण वहां काशीपुर डिपो की बसें भी मुश्किल से पहुंच पाती हैं। इसलिए रोडवेज बस अड्डे का स्थानांतरण होना अत्यंत आवश्यक है। बु(िजीवियों का कहना है कि स्थानांतरण की दशा में नया रोडवेज बस स्टैण्ड बनाने के लिए सबसे उपयुक्त स्थान टांडा तिराहा ही रहेगा। टांडा तिराहा स्थित सिंचाई विभाग के पुराने भवन को बहुउद्देशीय प्रशासनिक भवन के लिए चिह्नित किया गया है और इसकी डीपीआर भी शासन को मंजूरी के लिए भेजी गयी है, लेकिन लोगों का कहना है कि जनहित में यहां पर रोडवेज बस अड्डे का निर्माण कराना ही उचित होगा।
