काशीपुर। नशा तस्करों पर लगाम कसती कोतवाली पुलिस ने सघन चेकिंग के दौरान 02 किलो 298 ग्राम गांजे की ब्रिकी करते एक नशा तस्कर को गिरफ्तार किया है। प्रदेश के मुख्यमन्त्री द्वारा वर्ष 2025 तक उत्तराखण्ड को नशामुक्त बनाये जाने हेतु चलाये जा रहे अभियान के क्रम में वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक उधमसिंहनगर द्वारा जनपद में नशीले मादक पदार्थों एवं ड्रग्स की बढ़ती प्रवृत्ति पर प्रभावी अंकुश लगाये जाने व अवैध तरीके से नशीले पदार्थों की खरीद फरोख्त करने वालों के विरू( व आगामी लोकसभा चुनाव 2024 के दृष्टिगत सघन चेकिंग अभियान चलाकर नशा तस्करों की धरपकड़ करते हुए वैधानिक कार्यवाही किये जाने हेतु आदेशित किया गया है। जिसके क्रम में पुलिस अधीक्षक काशीपुर व क्षेत्राधिकारी काशीपुर के निर्देशन व प्रभारी निरीक्षक कोतवाली काशीपुर के नेतृत्व में पुलिस टीम के द्वारा गुरनाम सिंह पुत्र मंगल सिंह निवासी रम्पुरा काशीपुर को 02 किलो 298 ग्राम अवैध गांजे के साथ गिरपतार किया गया है। गिरफ्तार अभियुक्त के पास उक्त गांजा के अतिरिक्त गांजा तोलने हेतु प्रयुक्त एक अदद इलैक्ट्रानिक तराजू, गांजा बेचने से बरामद 830 रूपये और एक मोबाईल भी बरामद हुआ है। अभियुक्त के खिलाफ धारा 8/20 एनडीपीएस एक्ट के अंतर्गत अभियोग पंजीकृत किया गया है। पुलिस टीम में प्रभारी निरीक्षक मनोज रतूडी, वरिष्ठ उपनिरीक्षक प्रदीप मिश्रा, राजेन्द्र प्रसाद चैकी प्रभारी कुण्डेश्वरी, उपनिरीक्षक सन्तोष देवरानी, कांस्टेबल मुकेश, किशोर फर्त्याल, त्रिभुवन जंगपांगी थे।
