बीती रात क्षेत्र के गांव महमदपुर केशव मैं तेंदुए ने दीवार फांद कर घर के बरामदे में बंदर रही बकरी को उठाकर ले गया और जंगल में अपना निवाला बना डाला । बकरी की चीख-पुकार पर जब तक परिजन नींद से जाग कर उठे तब तक तेंदुआ बकरी उठाकर ले गया । परिजनों ने लाठी डंडे लेकर तेंदुए की तलाश की लेकिन सफलता नहीं मिली । घटना से गांव के लोगों में दहशत व्याप्त हो गई । महमदपुर केशव निवासी बलवंत सिंह पुत्र धर्म चंद गांव से कुछ दूरी पर अपने खेत में घर बना कर अपने परिवार सहित रहते हैं । उन्होंने बकरी पाल रखी है । बताया कि बीती रात रात्रि 2:00 बजे के करीब तेंदुआ दीवार फांद कर घर में घुस गया बरामदे में बंधी बकरी को उठाकर दीवार फांद कर भाग गया । बकरी की चीख-पुकार पर जैसी परिजन उठे तब तक वह काफी दूर जा चुका था । शोर मचाने पर ग्रामीणों ने लाठी-डंडे लेकर बकरी की तलाश की लेकिन बकरी नहीं मिली । सवेरे को नदी किनारे जंगल में उसके अवशेष मिले । ग्रामीणों का कहना है कि बीते 15 दिन से लगातार तेंदुआ आबादी के निकट दिखाई दे रहा था । अब तक कई पालतू कुत्तों नीलगाय व जंगली जानवरों को तेंदुआ अपना निवाला बना चुका है । इस घटना से गांव के लोगों में दहशत व्याप्त है गांव के चंद्रपाल सिंह पलविंदर सिंह आदि लोगों ने वन विभाग से क्षेत्र में पिंजरा लगाकर तेंदुआ पकड़ने की मांग की है ।
