काशीपुर। पुलिस ने गश्त के दौरान एक शातिर चोर व एक युवक को गिरफ्तार कर उनके कब्जे से एक-एक तमंचा व एक-एक जिंदा कारतूस बरामद किये हैं। पुलिस ने आरोपियों का 3/25 आर्म्स एक्ट के तहत चालान किया है।
बीती रात्रि पैगा चौकी पुलिस गश्त पर थी कि इसी दौरान मानपुर रोड तिराहा पर नेफा की तरफ से पल्सर बाईक पर सवार आ रहा एक युवक पुलिस को देखकर मानपुर तिराहे पर पीछे मुड़ने के चक्कर में हड़बड़ाकर अलीगंज रोड मानपुर तिराहा पर गिर गया, शक होने पर पुलिस ने उसे पकड़कर जब उसकी तलाशी ली तो उसके पास से 12 बोर का एक तमंचा व एक जिंदा कारतूस बरामद हुआ। पूछताछ में आरोपी ने अपना नाम सुशील शर्मा उर्फ डिम्पल पुत्र स्व. छोटे लाल शर्मा निवासी वार्ड नं0 2 आजाद नगर थाना ट्रांजिट कैम्प रूद्रपुर बताया। उसने बताया कि वह चोरी व लूट के मामले में सिडकुल व ट्राजिंट कैम्प से जेल जा चुका है। उसने बताया कि वह आज भी यहां फैक्ट्रियों में चोरी करने आया था। वहीं पुलिस ने खड़कपुर देवीपुरा से खोखरा माता मंदिर की और से शमशान घाट के पास से एक युवक को गिरफ्तार कर उसके कब्जे से एक 315 बोर का तमंचा व एक जिंदा कारतूस बरामद किया। पकड़े गये युवक की पहचान खड़कपुर देवीपुरा निवासी राम सिंह उर्फ मुलायम पुत्र हरबंश सिंह के रूप में हुई। पूछताछ में उसने बताया कि वह अपनी नानी के घर रहता है तथा तमंचा शौक में रखता है और फैक्ट्रियों में चोरी करने जा रहा था। पुलिस ने आरोपी का 3/25 आर्म्स एक्ट में चालान कर उसे न्यायालय के समक्ष पेश किया, जहां से आरोपियों को जेल भेज दिया गया। पुलिस टीम में एएसआई सोमवीर सिंह, कांस्टेबल शैलेन्द्र सिंह व गणेश सिंह, महेन्द्र सिंह, जितेन्द्र नेगी, प्रशांत नेगी शामिल रहे।
