लंदन। विमान में उस समय अजीब स्थिति बन गई जब एक ब्रिटिश एयरलाइन ईजीजेट के पायलट नेविमान में वजन अधिक होने का हवाला देकर उड़ान भरने से मना कर दिया। फिर 19 यात्रियों ने स्वेच्छा से विमान को छोड़ा तब जाकर उसने उड़ान भरी। जानकारी के अनुसार स्पेन के लैंजारोटे शहर से लिवरपूल की एक फ्लाइट में सवार 20 यात्रियों को विमान से उतरने के लिए कहा। क्योंकि विमान ‘उड़ान भरने के लिए बहुत भारी’ हो गया था। हालांकि यह घटना 5 जुलाई को हुई जब खराब मौसम और विमान के ज्यादा वजन के कारण उड़ान में देरी हुई। फ्लाइट के कैप्टन ने यात्रियों से स्वेच्छा से ‘उड़ान से उतरने का विकल्प चुनने’ के लिए कहा। एक रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक एक पैसेंजर ने इस घटना का एक वीडियो रिकॉर्ड किया। बाद में 19 लोगों ने खुद फ्लाइट छोड़ने का फैसला किया और बाद में विमान उड़ान भर सका।
उस फ्लाइट के कैप्टन ने यात्रियों से कहा कि यह भारी विमान लैंजारोट में काफी छोटे रनवे और विपरीत दिशा में बह रही तेज हवाओं के कारण इस समय उड़ान भरने में कामयाब नहीं हो सकता है। पायलट के मुताबिक हवा की स्थिति और सुरक्षा को लेकर उनकी कंपनी की प्राथमिकता को देखते हुए इस उपाय के अलावा विमान के पास उड़ान भरने का कोई और रास्ता नहीं था। पायलट ने 20 यात्रियों को विमान छोड़ने और ‘आज रात लिवरपूल के लिए उड़ान नहीं भरने’ का विकल्प चुनने के लिए कहा। पायलट ने यह भी कहा कि फ्लाइट से उतरने वाले हर यात्री को ईजीजेट 500 यूरो तक की रकम देगा। वहीं ईजीजेट के प्रवक्ता ने इसकी पुष्टि करते हुए कहा कि 19 यात्रियों ने अंततः स्वेच्छा से उड़ान छोड़ने के लिए सहमति जताई। गौरतलब है कि सुरक्षा कारणों से सभी एयरलाइनों के लिए वजन प्रतिबंध लागू हैं।
