काशीपुर। पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री त्रिवेन्द्र सिंह रावत ने खुद को मुख्यमंत्री की दौड़ से बाहर बताते हुए कहा कि उन्होंने चुनाव ही नहीं लड़ा है इसलिए वह इस मामले में मुक्त हैं। कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री का निर्णय विधायकों की राय से हाईकमान तय करेगा। वे आज रामनगर जाते हुये यहाँ काशीपुर मंडी गेस्ट हाउस में कुछ समय के लिए रूके थे। जब पत्रकारों ने पूछा कि भाजपा की सरकार आने पर क्या पुष्कर सिंह धामी को मुख्यमंत्री बनाया जायेगा तो उन्होंने यह बात कही।
पूर्व मुख्यमंत्री ने दावा किया कि उत्तराखंड में पूर्ण बहुमत से भाजपा की सरकार बनेगी इसमें कोई संशय नहीं है। त्रिवेन्द्र सिंह रावत ने कहा कि एक हवाई दावा किया जा रहा है कि काफी संख्या में निर्दलीय जीतकर आयेंगे जबकि उत्तराखंड की जनता सिर्फ राष्ट्रीय दलों को ही चुनती आई है और उन्हें ही महत्व दिया है। इसमें किसी को भी कोई शक नहीं होना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार हर 5 साल बाद दूसरी पार्टियों की बनने का मिथक भी इस बार उत्तराखंड की जनता तोड़ने जा रही है। पुनः पूरे बहुमत से भाजपा सत्ता में वापसी कर रही है। इससे पूर्व भाजपाइयों द्वारा उनका जोरदार स्वागत किया गया। स्वागत करने वालों में प्रदेश मंत्री आशीष गुप्ता, मेयर ऊषा चौधरी, गजराज सिंह बिष्ट, भाजपा विधायक प्रत्याशी त्रिलोक सिंह चीमा, मोहन बिष्ट, सीमा चौहान, गुरविंदर सिंह चंडोक, उदित अग्रवाल, लवीश अरोरा, पार्षद अनिल कुमार, नामित पार्षद पुष्कर बिष्ट, बबलू चौधरी, रजत सि(ू, वीरेंद्र चौहान, राजदीपिका मधुर, मंजू यादव आदि शामिल हैं।
