काशीपुर। हर वर्ष देवउठान एकादशी पर तुलसी व शालिग्राम विवाह का आयोजन यहां धूमधाम से किया जाता है। इसी के तहत आज दुर्गा मंदिर समिति द्वारा पंजाबी सभा भवन में विवाह का आयोजन किया गया।
मौहल्ला सिंघान स्थित श्री दुर्गा मंदिर से शालिग्राम जी की बारात निकाली गयी जिसमें वर पक्ष की ओर से रघुनाथ अरोड़ा व श्रीमती मीना अरोड़ा के साथ सैंकड़ों की संख्या में श्र(ालु बैंड बाजों की धुन पर नृत्य करते चल रहे थे। बारात का जगह-जगह पुष्प वर्षा कर स्वागत किया गया। बारात मेन बाजार से होते माता मंदिर रोड स्थित पंजाबी सभा भवन पहुंची। जहां कन्या पक्ष की ओर से दीपक ठुकराल व श्रीमती नीतू ठुकराल के साथ दर्जनों लोगों ने बारात का स्वागत किया और समस्त वैवाहिक कार्यक्रम पंजाबी सभा में ही सम्पन्न हुए। इस दौरान विशाल भण्डारे का भी आयोजन किया गया। इस अवसर पर मेयर ऊषा चौधरी, रमेश छाबड़ा, राजकुमार सेठी, चिम्मन लाल छाबड़ा, सुरेन्द्र कपूर, राकेश नरूला, राज मल्होत्रा, राजेन्द्र चावला, अनिल कपूर, मनीष खरबंदा, सुरेन्द्र छाबड़ा, मनोज शर्मा, सतपाल ठुकराल, अनिल सिंधवानी, नीलम छाबड़ा, कविता शर्मा, मोनिका शर्मा, सोना सेठी, राखी अरोरा, रजनी सेठी, सरोज शर्मा आदि बड़ी संख्या में श्र(ालु शामिल थे।
