चुनाव जीतने के बाद प्रमुखता से किया जाएगा जन समस्याओं का निवारण: सहगल
काशीपुर। पिछले बीस-बाइस वर्षों से काशीपुर में भाजपा राज होने के बावजूद शहर में जलभराव जैसी लंबे समय से चली आ रहीं समस्याएं समाधान की बाट जोह रही हैं। जनता की निगाहें शहर के नए विकास से अधिक पुरानी समस्याओं के निवारण पर टिकीं हैं। कांग्रेस मेयर प्रत्याशी एडवोकेट संदीप सहगल ने कहा कि जनादेश उनके पक्ष में आने के बाद प्राथमिकता से इन समस्याओं का निवारण उनके द्वारा किया जाएगा। हर साल बरसात में करीब चार महीने लोगों की मुसीबतें बढ़ीं रहती हैं। बेहतर ड्रेनेज सिस्टम न होने से एमपी चौक, मुख्य बाजार, रतन रोड, मुंशीराम चौराहा, कटोराताल, काजीबाग, पटेल नगर, स्टेशन रोड, आर्य नगर, जसपुर खुर्द, मालवा फार्म, हेमपुर इस्माइल समेत कई कालोनियों में पानी घुटनों तक भर जाता है। संदीप सहगल ने कहा कि मेरा वादा है कि चुनाव जीतने के उपरांत जल निकासी की ठोस रूपरेखा तैयार कर क्षेत्रवासियों को इस प्रमुख समस्या से हमेशा-हमेशा के लिए निजात दिलाई जाएगी। शहर में वेंडिंग जोन न होने के कारण सड़क किनारे जगह-जगह ठेले लगे रहते हैं। पांच स्थानों पर प्रस्तावित वेंडिंग जोन के लिए निगम बोर्ड द्वारा समिति भी गठित की गई थी। शहर में सीतापुर नेत्र चिकित्सालय के पास, डिजाइन सेंटर, पुराना ढेला पुल, कुंडेश्वरी रोड साहनी रिजॉर्ट के पास, टांडा तिराहा, मानपुर तिराहा पर वेंडिंग जोन बनना था लेकिन यह कार्य सिर्फ फाइलों तक सीमित रह गया। संदीप सहगल ने कहा कि मेयर चुने जाने के बाद ऐसी सभी फाइलें खोली जाएंगी, जिनमें विकास कैद है।
