रांची । इच्छाशक्ति मजबूत हो तो दिव्यांग होना सफलता की राह में बाधक नहीं बनता। इसे साबित किया है रांची के धुर्वा निवासी ²ष्टिबाधित शख्स अरुण सिंह ने। छात्र जीवन में बीमारी की वजह से अरुण की आंखों की रोशनी चली गई थी।
इससे अरुण डिप्रेशन में चले गये थे, पर बाद में अपनी कमजोरी को ही अपनी मजबूती बनाकर उन्होंने ब्रेल लिपि सीखकर दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी से स्नातक की पढ़ाई पूरी की। इसके बाद रेलवे में नौकरी हासिल की और अब हजारों दिव्यांगों के जीवन में बदलाव ला रहे हैं।
दिव्यांगों की मदद करने के लिए उन्होंने एक संस्था लक्ष्य फॉर डिफरेंटली एबल्ड स्थापित की है, जिसके जरिए वह ²ष्टिबाधित लोगों को कंप्यूटर, लैपटॉप, मोबाइल चलाना सीखा रहे हैं। अब तक सैकड़ों ²ष्टिबाधित लोगों को वह कंप्यूटर की ट्रेनिंग दे चुके हैं।
इनमें से कई लोग आत्मनिर्भर हो गए हैं। उन्होंने एक ई-लाइब्रेरी भी स्थापित की है, जिसके जरिए ²ष्टिबाधित आसानी से पढ़ाई कर रहे हैं। अपने जैसे लोगों का जीवन बेहतर बनाने की उनकी पहल को टाटा स्टील ने भी सराहा है और उन्हें सबल अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया है।
अरुण सिंह बताते हैं कि वे जन्मजात ब्लाइंड नहीं थे। पर उन्हें बचपन से ही आंखों से कम दिखाई देता था। शुरूआत में ही उन्हें ब्लैकबोर्ड और किताबों के छोटे अक्षर पढऩे में मुश्किलें आती थीं। इसके बाद भी उन्होंने जैसे-तैसे उन्होंने इंटर तक की पढ़ाई पूरी की। बाद में जब वे ग्रेजुएशन में पहुंचे तो उन्हें दिखाई देना बिल्कुल कम हो गया। लिखने-पढऩे में ज्यादा समस्या होने पर उन्होंने पढ़ाई छोड़ दी।
इसके बाद उन्हें अवसाद ने घेर लिया। उन्हें जीवन में चारों ओर अंधेरा दिखाई देने लगा। पर अरुण ने हिम्मत नहीं हारी। उन्हें पता चला कि कई ऐसी सुविधाएं हैं जिससे ²ष्टिहीन पढ़-लिख सकते हैं। इसके बाद उन्होंने ब्रेल लिपि सीखी और दिल्ली यूनिवर्सिटी से अपना ग्रेजुएशन पूरा किया।
जल्द ही अरुण इस नतीजे पर पहुंचे कि हाथ पर हाथ रख कर बैठे रहने से कुछ नहीं होगा। उन्हें अपनी कमजोरी को ही अपनी ताकत बनाना होगा। इसके बाद उन्हें रेलवे की तैयारी करनी शुरू की और जल्द की रेलवे में नौकरी पाने में सफल हो गये। पांच वर्षों से अधिक समय से वे रेलवे में नौकरी कर रहे हैं।
आर्थिक मोर्चे पर सफलता हासिल करने के बाद अरुण खुश तो थे लेकिन उनके दिल में अपने जैसे लोगों की मदद करने का ख्याल शोर मचा रहा था। अरुण ने अपने दिल की सुनी और फिर अपनी संस्था बनायी, जिसका नाम है लक्ष्य फॉर डिफरेंटली एबल्ड।
इस संस्था का लक्ष्य है दिव्यांगों की मदद करना। इस संस्था के जरिये उन्होंने ²ष्टिहीनों का जीवन आसान बनाने वाले उपकरणों तथा शिक्षा-दीक्षा में प्रयोग आने वाली चीजों की जानकारी देनी शुरू कर दी।
²ष्टिहीनों को कंप्यूटर और व्हाट्सऐप चलाना सिखाने के साथ उन्हें ई मेल और फेसबुक चलाने की शिक्षा देने लगे। बाद में उन्होंने दिव्यांगों को ब्लाइंड क्रिकेट और चेस प्रतियोगिता से भी जोडऩा शुरू किया। अरुण की ये पहल रंग लायी और धीरे-धीरे दिव्यांग उनकी संस्था से जुड़ते चले गये। इसके बाद उन्होंने संस्था के जरिये ई लाइब्रेरी की स्थापना की।
²ष्टिहीनों को पढऩे में होनेवाली दिक्कतों को देखते हुए अरुण सिंह की संस्था लक्ष्य फॉर डिफरेंटली एबल्ड ने सुगम्य पुस्तक बनायी है जिससे ²ष्टिहीन आराम से पढ़ाई कर सकते हैं। इसे मोबाइल, लैपटॉप और टैबलेट के जरिये पढ़ा जा सकता है। सुगम्य पुस्तक बनाने के लिए उन्हें इंडिया बुक शेयर की सहायता मिली थी।
अरुण सिंह समाजसेवा में तो आगे हैं ही, दोस्ती निभाने में भी पीछे नहीं रहते। उनके एक खास दोस्त हैं सत्यजीत। अरुण जहां आंखों से देख नहीं सकते वहीं डोरंडा निवासी सत्यजीत पैरों से चल नहीं सकते। पर दोनों की दोस्ती एक मिसाल है।
सत्यजीत चार पहियों वाली स्कूटी चलाते हैं और अरुण इस स्कूटी में पीछे की सीट पर बैठकर घूमते हैं। जब स्कूटी से सत्यजीत उतरते हैं तो हाथों में चप्पल पहनकर चलते हैं। वहीं, अरुण उन्हें सहारा देते हैं। व्हील चेयर पर सत्यजीत को बैठाकर अरुण उन्हें जगह-जगह घुमाते हैं।
इस दौरान रास्ता सत्यजीत बताते हैं। सत्यजीत बताते हैं कि अरुण और उनकी दोस्ती तीन साल पुरानी है। एक कार्यक्रम के दौरान दोनों मिले थे और दोनों को एक-दूसरे का साथ पसंद आया और दोनों पक्के दोस्त बन गये। अरुण धुर्वा में रहते हैं और सत्यजीत उन्हें डोरंडा से लेने जाते हैं। अपना काम पूरा करने के बाद दोनों जगह-जगह घूमते हैं।
