काशीपुर। उत्तराखंड वन विकास निगम के अध्यक्ष कैलाश गहतोड़ी का निधन हो गया। श्री गहतोड़ी लंबे समय से कैंसर की बीमारी से जूझ रहे थे। उन्होंने आज सुबह देहरादून स्थित सरकारी अवास पर अंतिम सांस ली। आज सायं कुण्डेश्वरी रोड स्थित सांई मंदिर के पीछे उनका पार्थिव शरीर पंचतत्व मंे विलीन कर दिया गया। उनके बड़े पुत्र शशांक गहतोड़ी ने उन्हें मुखाग्नि दी।
मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी समेत प्रदेश स्तरीय व स्थानीय भाजपा नेताओं एवं अन्य गणमान्य व्यक्तियों ने श्री गहतोड़ी की अंतिम यात्रा में शिरकर कर उन्हें श्र(ांजलि दी। मुख्यमंत्री ने अपने शोक संदेश में कहा कि वन विकास निगम के अध्यक्ष, पूर्व विधायक, प्रिय मित्र और बड़े भाई श्री कैलाश गहतोड़ी जी के निधन का पीड़ादायक समाचार सुन स्तब्ध हूं। कैलाश जी का जाना संगठन, प्रदेश के साथ-साथ मेरे लिए भी व्यक्तिगत क्षति है। इस असीम कष्ट को शब्दों में बयान नहीं कर पा रहा हूँ। आपने अपना पूरा जीवन जनसेवा में खपा दिया, आप एक आदर्श जनप्रतिनिधि के रूप में सदैव याद किए जाएँगे। ईश्वर से पुण्यात्मा को श्रीचरणों में स्थान एवं शोक संतप्त परिजनों को यह अपार कष्ट सहने की शक्ति प्रदान करने की कामना करता हूं। दोपहर करीब साढ़े बारह बजे देहरादून से श्री गहतोड़ी का पार्थिव शरीर यहां लाकर गिरीताल रोड स्थित आवास पर अंतिम दर्शन हेतु रखा गया, जहां बड़ी संख्या में पहुंचकर लोगों ने उन्हें श्र(ांजलि दी। श्री गहतोड़ी की अंतिम यात्रा मंे शामिल होने वालों में महाराष्ट्र के पूर्व राज्यपाल भगत सिंह कोश्यारी, भाजपा प्रदेश अध्यक्ष महेन्द्र भट्ट, पूर्व सांसद बलराज पासी, अल्मोड़ा सांसद अजय टम्टा, स्वामी यतीश्वरानंदजी महाराज, रूद्रपुर विधायक शिव अरोरा, पूर्व विधायक शैलेन्द्र मोहन सिंह, जसपुर विधायक आदेश चौहान, निवर्तमान मेयर ऊषा चौधरी, रूद्रपुर निवर्तमान मेयर रामपाल सिंह, मंडी परिषद अध्यक्ष अनिल कपूर डब्बू, राजीव घई, राम मेहरोत्रा, दीपक बाली, खिलेन्द्र चौधरी, बीबी भट्ट, अभिषेक गोयल, गगन काम्बोज, रजत सि(ू, बिट्टू राणा, जितेन्द्र हृड्डा, डॉ. गिरीश तिवारी, जिलाधिकारी उदयराज सिंह समेत तमाम लोगों ने उन्हें श्र(ांजलि दी।
