काशीपुर। सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा राहुल गांधी की संसद की सदस्यता की बहाली के फैसले के बाद और याचिका पर सुनवाई पूरी नहीं होने तक दोषसि(ि पर रोक के बाद यहां महाराणा प्रताप चौक पर एकत्र हुए कांग्रेसियों ने ढोल नगाड़ों की थाप पर नाचते हुए खुशी का इजहार किया।
विदित हो कि मोदी सरनेम केस में सूरत की निचली अदालत ने राहुल गांधी को दोषी करार देते हुए सजा सुनाई थी। सूरत कोर्ट के इस फैसले के बाद राहुल गांधी की संसद सदस्यता चली गई थी। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अब राहुल गांधी को दोषी ठहराए जाने के साथ ही सुनाई गई सजा पर भी रोक लगा दी है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा है कि जब तक राहुल गांधी की याचिका पर सुनवाई पूरी नहीं हो जाती तब तक दोषसि(ि पर रोक रहेगी। राहुल गांधी को सूरत की निचली अदालत से दो साल की सजा सुनाए जाने के बाद उन्हें लोकसभा की सदस्यता से अयोग्य ठहरा दिया गया था। इस दौरान महानगर कांग्रेस कमेटी अध्यक्ष मुशर्रफ हुसैन, मुक्ता सिंह, शशांक सिंह, मनोज जोशी एडवोकेट, सुशील गुड़िया, एनसी बाबा, अरुण चौहान, पूजा सिंह, अलका पाल, उमेश जोशी एडवोकेट, इंदूमान, जितेंद्र सरस्वती, अब्दुल अजीज कुरैशी, सुरेश शर्मा जंगी, प्रदीप जोशी, हरीश कुमार सिंह एडवोकेट, राजीव चौधरी, रवि ढींगरा, अब्दुल सलीम एडवोकेट, त्रिलोक सिंह अधिकारी, शफीक अहमद अंसारी, चेतन अरोड़ा, प्रभात साहनी, गौतम मेहरोत्रा, अर्पित मेहरोत्रा, अब्दुल कादिर, नौशाद पार्षद मौजूद रहे।
