रुद्रपुर। माहौल बिगाड़ने के प्रयास में गगन ज्योति बारात घर के सामने शरारती तत्वों ने खाली प्लाट पर गोवंश काटकर फेंक दिया। इससे हिंदूवादी संगठनों में आक्रोश फैल गया। मौके पर पहुंचकर लोगों ने प्रदर्शन किया। तनाव बढ़ने के बाद मौके पर पुलिसकर्मी पहुंच गए। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने पुलिस के खिलाफ भी नारेबाजी शुरू कर दी। प्रदर्शकारी दोषियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग कर रहे थे। पुलिस के समझाने के बाद लोगों ने चेताया कि यदि 24 घंटे में मामले का पर्दाफाश नहीं किया गया तो आंदोलन किया जाएगा। इधर, लापरवाही बरतने पर एसएसपी ने आवास विकास चैकी इंचार्ज गोविंद अधिकारी को लाइन हाजिर कर दिया। सोमवार को सुबह बारात घर के सामने खाली प्लाट पर कुत्ते भोंक रहे थे। एक व्यक्ति ने पास जाकर देखा तो गोवंश के टुकड़े के पड़े थे। इसकी सूचना उसने 112 पर पुलिस को दी। इधर सूचना पर हिेंदूवादी संगठनों से जुड़े लोग भी पहुंचकर हंगामा करने लगे। पुलिस ने गोवंश को ले जाने की कोशिश की तो लोगों ने हंगामा किया और पुलिस से नोकझोंक होने लगी। बाद में एएसपी दलीप सिंह कुंवर भी पहुंच गए। हिंदू संगठनों ने पुलिस से दोषियों की गिरफ्तारी की मांग की मांग। एसएसपी ने काफी समझाने की कोशिश की, मगर लोग दोषियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग पर अड़े रहे। बढ़ती भीड़ को देख पुलिस ने लाठी फटकार कर लोगों को तितर बितर किया। कंचन तारा बैंक्वेट हाल के पास तिराहे पर पुलिस तैनात कर आवास विकास की ओर जाने वाले मार्ग पर वाहनों के आवागमन पर रोक लगा दी। प्रदर्शनकारियों का कहना था कि आचार संहिता लगी है, शहर का फिजा खराब करने की कोशिश की गई है। इसे बर्दाश्त नहीं किया जाएगा। कप्तान के 24 घंटे में मामले का पर्दाफाश करने के आश्वासन पर गोवंश को पुलिस ने कब्जे में लेकर पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया। इससे पुलिस ने राहत की सांस ली।
