मुजफ्फरनगर। उत्तर प्रदेश प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड (यूपीसीबी) की एक टीम ने यहां की एक औद्योगिक इकाई (फैक्ट्री) पर प्रदूषण रोधी नियमों का उल्लंघन करने पर 10 लाख रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया है। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि कई फैक्ट्रियों की जांच के दौरान यूपीपीसीबी के क्षेत्रीय अधिकारी अंकित सिंह के नेतृत्व में टीम ने बांगर गांव में एक औद्योगिक इकाई पर 10 लाख रुपये, भवन निर्माण सामग्री को खुले में रखने के लिए दो लोगों पर 50-50 हजार रुपये, गुड़ बनाने की इकाई पर 25,000 रुपये और कूड़ा जलाने पर एक शख्स पर 5,000 रुपये का का जुर्माना लगाया।
  अधिकारियों ने बताया कि इस प्रकार जिले में वायु प्रदूषण फैलाने के लिए कुल 11 लाख, पांच हजार रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया गया है। इस बीच, अधिकारियों ने कहा कि सड़कों पर पानी का छिड़काव किया जा रहा है और वायु प्रदूषण को नियंत्रित करने के लिए ‘एंटी-स्मॉग गन’ भी लगाई गई हैं। यूपीपीसीबी के क्षेत्रीय अधिकारी ने आगाह किया कि जिले में प्रदूषण रोधी नियमों का उल्लंघन करने वालों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
