शिमला/कुल्लू । हिमाचल प्रदेश में 68 विधानसभा सीटों के लिए शनिवार को मतदान ने महिलाओं ने भी बढ़चढ़ कर हिस्सा लिया। गृहणियों और नौकरीपेशा महिलाओं ने सुबह से ही पोलिंग बूथों पर जाकर मतदान किया। हालांकि शनिवार को मतदान के चलते सरकारी छुट्टी थी। इसके बाद महिलाएं चूल्हा चौक छोड़कर सबसे पहले मतदान करने के लिए पहुंचीं। इसके साथ ही महिलाओं ने मतदान में अधिक संख्या में भागीदारी सुनिश्चित कर यह भी संदेश दिया कि वे किसी भी क्षेत्र में पुरुषों से पीछे नहीं हैं। प्रत्याशी की जीत में महिला मतदाताओं की अहम भूमिका रहेगी। कुल्लू, मनाली, आनी और बंजार विधानसभा में किसी भी प्रत्याशी की हार-जीत को तय करने में महिला मतदाता सक्षम हैं। इसके चलते चुनाव प्रचार के दौरान प्रत्याशियों ने महिला मतदाताओं को लुभाने का पूरा प्रयास किया।
गौरतलब है कि जिले में 1,63,351 महिला मतदाता हैं। मनाली विधानसभा में 37,232 महिलाएं, कुल्लू विधानसभा में 45,304, बंजार में 37,187 और आनी में महिला मतदाताओं की संख्या 43,628 हैं। ऐसे में मतदाताओं की आधी संख्या पर प्रत्याशियों का खासा फोकस रहता है। सुबह 11:00 बजे तक हुई पोलिंग हुई जहां पुरुषों की भागीदारी 23.49 प्रतिशत थी। वहीं महिलाओं का वोट प्रतिशत 20.04 था। दोपहर एक बजे तक यह महिलाओं का वोट प्रतिशत 45.26 प्रतिशत हो गया। पोलिंग बूथ पर मतदान करने आईं महिला कुब्जा देवी ने कहा कि हम सभी को मतदान जरूर करना चाहिए। राधा देवी ने कहा कि लोकतंत्र को मजबूती के लिए हम सभी को मतदान करना चाहिए। शिमला शहर के मिडिल बाजार स्थित डीएवी स्कूल पोलिंग बूथ पर एक महिला अपने नवजात शिशु को गोद में उठाकर वोट डालने पहुंचीं। महिला ने कहा कि लोकतंत्र की मजबूती के लिए वोट डालना जरूरी है। आज चूके तो पांच साल तक पछताना पड़ेगा।
