काशीपुर। चन्द्रावती तिवारी कन्या स्नातकोत्तर महाविद्यालय में राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना इकाई द्वारा नमामि गंगे स्वच्छता पखवाड़े के तहत स्वयं सेवियों द्वारा श्यामपुरम में महादेव नहर की सफाई कर नहर की स्वच्छता बनाये रखने के लिए जनमानस को जागरूक किया गया। प्राचार्या डाॅ. कीर्ति पन्त ने गंगा नदी के महत्व को बताते हुए कहा कि गंगा नदी को हम पवित्र और शु( मानते हैं। वह नदी आज प्रदूषित हो गयी है, जो सभी के लिए एक बड़ा खतरा है। हम सबको गंगा नदी को प्रदूषण से मुक्त करना है, जिससे हमारी गंगा नदी फिर से पहले की तरह पवित्र और शु( हो जायेगी। इस अवसर पर राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजना अधिकारी डाॅ. वन्दना सिंह, डाॅ. गीता मेहरा एवं डाॅ. पुष्पा धामा उपस्थित रहे।
