वाराणसी। वाराणसी के गौरव ने बड़ी सफलता हासिल की है। सारनाथ क्षेत्र के रामलखन नगर इलाके के गौरव ने विश्व पुलिस एंव फायर गेम्स में गोल्ड मेडल जीतकर पूरी दुनिया में वाराणसी का नाम रोशन किया है। नीदरलैंड के रॉटरडैम शहर में 23 से 31 जुलाई के बीच प्रतियोगिता आयोजित हुई थी। वर्ल्ड लेवल के इस आयोजन में गौरव कुमार मौर्य ने भारत के आईटीबीपी का नेतृत्व किया और कंबोडिया के खिलाड़ी चेंग रत्नाक को हराकर गोल्ड मेडल हासिल किया। इसके बाद गौरव जब गुरुवार को वाराणसी लौटे तो स्टेशन पर ही उनका जोरदार स्वागत हुआ।
गौरव ने बताया कि वर्ल्ड लेवल के इस कॉम्पटीशन में 60 देशों के करीब 600 पुलिस विभाग के खिलाड़ियों ने हिस्सा लिया था। गौरव भी इस कॉम्पटीशन में 70 किलोभार वर्ग में शामिल थे, जिसमें उन्होंने अपनी मेहनत के दम पर गोल्ड मेडल जीतकर देश का नाम रोशन किया। इससे पहले भी वह चीन में आयोजित विश्व पुलिस एवं फायर गेम्स प्रतियोगिता में सिल्वर मेडल जीत चुके हैं। गौरव के इस उपलब्धि के बाद उनके घरवालों के साथ ही उनके गुरु और दोस्तों में खुशी का माहौल है।
