काशीपुर। आर्य समाज इंटर कॉलेज में काशीपुर खत्री सभा महिला विंग द्वारा ऑल इण्डिया खत्री सभा महिला विंग की अध्यक्षा डॉ.इला मेहरोत्रा के नेतृत्व मंे छात्राओं को निःशुल्क सैनेटरी पेड का वितरण किया गया। इस दौरान उन्होंने छात्राओं को साफ सफाई के प्रति जागरूक करते हुए स्वयं को स्वच्छ रखकर गम्भीर बीमारियों से बचने की भी सलाह दी।
छात्राओं में पीरियड के बारे में जागरुकता बढ़ाने के उद्देश्य से निशुल्क सैनिटरी पेड़ वितरित किये गये। डॉ. सोनल मेहरोत्रा ने छात्राओं को जागरूक करते हुए कहा कि पीरियड के समय कपड़े का इस्तेमाल बिल्कुल न करे, क्यो कि थोड़ी सी लापरवाही से हेपेटाइटिस बी, सर्वाइकल कैंसर, योनी संक्रमण जैसी गंभीर बीमारियों की तरफ धकेल सकता है। इसका असर बच्चियों को शारीरिक रूप से ही नहीं, मानसिक रूप से भी लंबी उम्र तक परेशान कर सकता है। डॉ. इला मेहरोत्रा ने बताया कि पीरियड के प्रति स्वच्छता रखने और भ्रांतिया मिटाने के लिए हर साल 28 मई को विश्व मासिक धर्म स्वच्छता दिवस मनाया जाता है। उन्होंने बताया कि आज निशुल्क पेड का वितरण करने का मकसद सिर्फ बच्चियों को माहवारी के दौरान साफ-सफाई के महत्घ्व को समझाना है। काशीपुर खत्री सभा महिला विंग अध्यक्षा डॉ. मोनिका ने कहा कि मासिक धर्म के बारे में जानकारी की कमी के परिणामस्वरूप अस्वच्छ और अस्वास्थ्यकर मासिक धर्म प्रथाएं होती हैं और गलत धारणाएं और नकारात्मक दृष्टिकोण पैदा होते हैं, जो दूसरों के बीच, शर्मिंदगी, होती है। इस मौके पर कालेज प्रधानाचार्य श्रीमती रिंकू सक्सेना, मेहरोत्रा, बीना मेहरोत्रा, छाया टंडन, शालिनी मेहरोत्रा, उमा मेहरोत्रा, मधु मेहरोत्रा, नीरू मेहरोत्रा, सीमा मेहरोत्रा, प्रिया टंडन, रेखा टंडन आदि मौजूद थे।
