काशीपुर। पुलिस ने गत देर शाम क्षेत्र के विभिन्न कैफे और हुक्का बार में छापेमारी अभियान चलाया और आधा दर्जन से अधिक युवक और युवतियों को हिरसत में लिया।
पुलिस अधीक्षक अभय प्रताप सिंह के आदेशानुसार शहर के अलग-अलग बार, होटल व रेस्टोरेंट एवं हुक्का बार में छापेमारी की गई। जहां पर काफी संख्या में युवक व युवतियों नशे का सेवन कर रहे थे। इस दौरान पकड़े गए युवक-युवतियों के स्वजनों को इसकी सूचना मिलते ही कोतवाली में भीड़ एकत्रित हो गई। पुलिस अधिकारियों ने बताया कि बार में युवक-युवतियां बैठकर अनैतिक कार्य को अंजाम देते हैं। इस पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए छापेमारी अभियान चलाया गया। कोतवाल मनोज रतूड़ी ने बताया कि इस दौरान कैफे और हुक्का बार संचालकों के पांच-पांच हजार के चालान किए गए। करीब 20 नाबालिग किशोरों को सख्त हिदायत देकर उनके स्वजनों को सौंपा गया। इसके अलावा तीन रेस्टोंरेंट और शराब पीने वाले आधा दर्जन व्यक्तियों का पुलिस एक्ट में चालान किया गया।
